Kid Scribes is AWESOME!

Yesterday in our Lower School assemblies, students who have been a part of the Kid Scribes class through Town's Extended Day Program shared their books with the community.  Corey Olds, who teaches the Kid Scribes EDP class was on hand to introduce our talented authors, who have learned the essentials of storytelling in the after-school class.

Each author was able to share a chapter or two of his book, sometimes leaving the audience at a moment of absolute cliffhanger! What was in the letter from Woodland High School? Would Pie make it down the mountain? Would we ever find out who the mysterious Muscle Men are? The answers to these questions and more can be found in the books, which are available for check out in the Town School Library.

To quote the Acknowledgments from Aaron's book, "The Agents,"

"I would like to thank my parents for signing me up for Kid Scribes. I would also like to thank Mr. Olds for teaching me the six elements of a story as well as how to write a story with detail. THANK YOU !!!!!!"

The Kid Scribes participants have digitally self-published their books. They are available here
