We are grateful to the Radcliffe family ('24) for hosting a get together in honor of San Francisco publishing company McSweeney's! Thanks to the generosity of Town parents from the Class of 2024, McSweeney's presented to the Town School Library books from their children's and YA imprint, McMullens. Also in attendance at the event was local McSweeney's author and The Believer editor (and Burke's alum) Vendela Vida and celebrated children's book author Mac Barnett, creator of such picture book masterworks as Sam and Dave Dig a Hole and Extra Yarn. Both spoke eloquently (and hilariously) on the importance of children's books and reading in the lives of our boys.

Thank you to the McSweeney's staff who were in attendance, both authors, the parents of the Class of 2024, and the Radcliffes for a fun and important night celebrating independent publisher McSweeney's as it transforms into a non-profit company.
